Tehmina Khan, MD, graduated from Sindh Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan and completed her residency at the University of North Dakota at Fargo. She is board certified in Family Medicine and speaks Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi, in addition to English.
For 12 years, she was a Primary Care Physician at Kaiser Permanente in Northern California, and at Memorial Hermann she spent another three as an Urgent Care Physician. In all, her career in healthcare has spanned over 20 years.
For Dr. Khan, the best part of her profession is her relationships with her patients; meeting them, listening to them, and helping them. It brings her joy and great personal satisfaction to see that smile on the faces of those whose health has improved.
Always the optimist, Dr. Khan’s philosophy for happiness is to make the best of every day, and remember that when she feels down, it will soon be yesterday! She believes that paying attention and listening to her patients ensures patient satisfaction and that the right relationship is when the family doctor is accepted as part of the family, just as it was years ago.
Dr. Khan has two children, a son, Jibran, and a daughter, Leena. Her interests include spending time with her family, traveling, and enjoying nature.
