A native of South Carolina, Dr. Erica Savage - Jeter completed her undergraduate degree at Wofford College. She completed her medical degree at University of South Carolina School of Medicine and finished her Family Medicine training at Palmetto Health Family Medicine Residency program in Columbia. Dr. Savage-Jeter then went to further her studies by attending Auburn University and obtaining a Master degree in Business Administration. She has centered her career around the care for people with chronic illnesses including diabetes, congestive heart failure and atrial fibrillation.
She has been awarded Physician of the Year from the Union Hospital District and earned her degree of fellow from the American Academy of Family Physicians. In 2013, Dr. Savage-Jeter was recognized for her commitment to provide evidence-based measures and excellent care to her patients with diabetes by the National Committee of Quality Assurance. Dr. Savage-Jeter is married and has 2 sons, aged 4 and 10. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as community involvement with her church.
