Veronica Meza-Hernandez, LCSW-S, BCD recently joined Partners in Primary Care bringing over 20 years of experience working in the healthcare field treating behavioral health, trauma, chronic pain and illnesses. Very early on, Veronica knew she wanted to make a positive impact on the world, so she chose a career that would allow her to assist individuals with their health and wellness goals, with a focus on their emotional health.
She attended the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work and holds a Clinical Social Work License, is a Board Approved Clinical Social Work Supervisor and a Board-Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work.
Veronica’s favorite part of her job is meeting her patients, whom all come from different walks of life, and getting the opportunity to join them on their individual journeys towards achieving overall wellness and healing. She strongly believes that by providing her patients with continual guidance and support through an individualized treatment plan, her patients can develop coping strategies that’ll help them overcome their challenges, heal and thrive.
Veronica is constantly advocating to increase mental health awareness within her community and was elected as the Executive Board President for the Latino Social Workers of Greater Houston Network last year. Veronica remains active in her community and enjoys attending additional beneficial continuing education and training to better serve her patients.
Outside the office, Veronica enjoys spending time with her twin daughters and her family. She also believes that mental wellness can be achieved through physical activities so she makes the time to always integrate some physical activity into her day, like CrossFit, spinning and kickboxing, or a hike in the outdoors.
