Alison Rier joined Partners in Primary Care in 2019, bringing over 15 years of experience working in the healthcare field.
Alison graduated from the University of Iowa with her Doctorate of Pharmacy. She is also specialized in Medication Therapy Management.
Alison entered the healthcare profession because she wanted to help people understand and improve their health and well-being, as well as educate them on becoming an advocate for their own health. She enjoys being able to assist patients in understanding why and how they should be taking their medications, while empowering them to make positive decisions to improve their overall health. What Alison finds most fulfilling about working at Partners’ is being able to spend time with patients to ensure they have a good understanding of their medication regimen and identify potential drug therapy problems. She also enjoys collaborating with the Partners’ care team to improve overall patient health outcomes. She ensures her patients are satisfied by letting them know that she is another source and guide, in addition to their provider, and that she’s able to help them with their medication-related questions and concerns. She emphasizes the importance of working together with her patients to assist them in taking an active role in improving their health and well-being.
When she’s not at the office, Alison enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family, as well as reading and watching reality TV.
